Sphynx Household Pets

I really enjoy showing, and do so on a monthly basis. In the past year, I have shown primarily kittens and adults. Along with the adult I am showing this year, I will be showing several Household Pet cats. This is purely for fun, and for a companion for my adult Sphynx I will be showing this year.

What is a Household Pet? TICA says....

HOUSEHOLD PETS (HHP): TICA welcomes Household Pet exhibitors. HHP’s have their own unique Standard and titles which are comparable to pedigreed cats. HHP’s are judged primarily on condition, beauty, and show presence. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and colors and patterns are often a whim of Mother Nature.

Ava is a Sphynx/Devon Rex outcross with a wonderful disposition. She cannot be shown in Championship (adult pedigreed cats) due to her outcross. She was a gift from Angelsark Cattery in Marietta, Georgia. Robert and Kristi used Ava in their breeding program for several years, and she produced three wonderful litters. One of which, she produced CFA's Southeast Region Third Best Sphynx Kitten (2003-2004), GC Angelsark Adoneil. She is also Dash's grandmother and Liza's great-great grandmother. Now spayed, she serves as a special pet for me and will be making her HHP debut in TICA shows very soon. Ava truly is the sweetest girl. She has a very fuzzy tail and fuzzy ears along with a Devon head, but I love her.

Arianna is a rescue who was adopted by Vivian Frawley of TICA's Great Lakes Region. Vivian showed her once and she did very, very well. She made several "Best Cat" finals, and finaled in almost every ring. Vivian was looking for a suitable home in which to place her, and I couldn't resist. Arianna had a litter of several kittens before she was rescued, and now spayed, she serves as a maternal companion for several of my Sphynx. Not to mention, she is warm and fuzzy and her hairless buddies think she makes a great bed! Look for her in the rings. She stands out!
